A group project done in my third year where we were tasked to pick a non-game digital system and propose changes to the UX flow. We decided on the Watsons app as we felt that the navigation was not user friendly as compared to the website.

#1. About Watsons
Watsons is a Hong Kong health care and beauty care chain store in Asia and Europe.
Watsons SG mobile app is an online shopping platform where customers can either have their purchases delivered to their homes or pick them up at the Watsons location that is closest to them.
Target Audience
Young Adults - Adults (ages 18 - 30)
Goal of Watsons
The brand promise of Watsons is to assist people throughout the entire world in feeling and looking their best. Watson’s offer a unique experience through professional advice, intriguing retail spaces, and all the inspiration they require to live beautifully both inside and out, providing customers the best experience possible.
Problem Statement
The current homepage layout negatively affects the shopping experience, hence we need to improve the ease of navigation to enhance both user experience and user satisfaction.
#2. Survey Insights
We surveyed participants aged between 22 - 28, with the median being 25.5 years.
Statistics
Ease of navigation to specific features:
71% negative - Cardless membership
86% negative - Click & Collect
43% negative 29% passive - Scan & Go

67% of users who have previously used Watsons have reported having a negative experience when purchasing an item.

We asked users to tap on features in the homepage that they find useful.
