A group project done in my second year where we were tasked to create a UX-based solution for an existing product with a Digital presence in Singapore. We decided to choose HealthHub as we felt that the old layout could be improved.

#1. About HealthHub
HealthHub is the national platform for digital health that can be conveniently accessed by Singapore residents via the online portal or mobile application to:

View evidence-based health and wellness information,

Access health records for self and loved ones, and
-
Perform transactions across public healthcare clusters such as appointments, bill payments and refilling of medication.
Target Audience

Individuals (21 years and above)

Value Proposition
“HealthHub is a one-stop health information and services web portal and mobile application that empowers citizens to take charge of their health and that of their loved ones. Moving beyond healthcare to health, this Smart Health initiative equips citizens with information on medical conditions, medical listings and secure access to health records at their fingertips.” - IHiS
Problem Statement
We need to improve the UI of the app and make it more user-friendly to users of all ages so that they will be more encouraged to use the app.
#2. Survey Insights
Based on the survey results, we found out that the HealthHub app's ease of use is above average. This could be due to:

Familiarity with the layout/UI the more they use the app
-
Using the app for 1 thing would mean they don't have to navigate the menus

Issues Faced

Navigation is hard

Too many categories and steps to take when using the app

Managing appointments is troublesome

Booking appointments becomes a hassle and sometimes end up using the web version instead

#3. Competitor Research
We did research on HealthHub's app competitors and decided to use SingHealth Buddy to do a heuristics evaluation on both apps.

#4. Understanding the Users
Based on the survey results, we created 3 personas to represent the different user types who use HealthHub. This helps us to further identify the pain points and user goals of each persona.

#5. Style Guide
We decided to use the same colour palette as HealthHub and also ensured the style of the UI design is consistent throughout.

#6. Mockup
As a group, we came up with the wireframe, lo-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups of the app.
